JUST IN: Protest rocks Port Harcourt over Tinubu’s intervention

A multitude of individuals gathered at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday, protesting the presidential intervention in the ongoing political crisis within the state.

The demonstration was also a show of support for the state governor, Siminilayi Fubara. The protestors comprised students, young people, civil society organizations, labor unions, and members of the Hausa community in the state.

They took over the Government House along Azikiwe Road, Port Harcourt, as early as 7 am. As of the time of submitting this report, the protestors were still assembling, with some setting up canopies at the entrance of the Government House.
