Armed robbers on Tuesday morning raided three neighborhoods within Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

It was reported that the robbers made off with cash, mobile phones, jewelry, and various other belongings.

The communities impacted by this incident comprise Alaja, Seriki, and Ogogo, situated along the new Ibadan/Oyo Expressway within the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m.

One of the community leaders, Raji Kazeem, who verified the incident to reporters, stated, “Yes, it was true. The armed robbers came in the mid the night and robbed some houses. That’s why you saw landlords and landladies discussing in different groups.”

As of press time, attempts to contact the State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, were unsuccessful, as he neither answered his calls nor replied to the messages sent to his mobile number.
