The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the duly elected governor of Edo State, affirming the earlier judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
A five-member panel, chaired by Justice Mohammed Garba Lawal, ruled that the appellants failed to substantiate their allegations of electoral irregularities, unlawful voting, and claims that Okpebholo was not validly elected.
Consequently, the appeal was dismissed for lacking merit.
