JUST IN: Taraba Rep-Elect Maihanchi is dead

Isma’ila Maihanchi, the House of Representatives member-elect for Taraba State’s Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency, has died.

After a brief illness, Maihanchi died in the early hours of Saturday.

He won the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to source his remains would be laid to rest according to Islamic rites later in the day.
