Well-known microblogging platform, Twitter, on Monday, removed the verification tag from the account of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President of Nigeria.
Prior to its elimination, the unique verification tag was made specifically for government officials.

As of the time of publication, it was observed that Osinbajo’s verification badge was gone, but the one from the account of the Ex-President, Muhammadu Buhari, was still there.
Twitter has not yet replied to inquiries as to why the former vice-president’s verification tag was removed.
