Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has offered condolences to the families affected by the tragic accident involving a vehicle from the state’s transport authority (KTSTA).

The governor conveyed his condolences through a statement released in Katsina on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Malam Ibrahim Kaula.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, involved an 18-seater KTSTA bus traveling from their office in Kankara Local Government Area (LGA) to Abuja.

He elaborated that the accident was a result of ongoing repairs on the Kaduna/Abuja highway.

“The construction work required diversion of traffic, with contractors placing heavy machinery close to the area, inadvertently contributing to the unfortunate incident.

“Regrettably, seven lives, including two children and the bus driver, were lost at the scene of the accident,” he said.

Radda conveys heartfelt condolences and stands united in support with the grieving families and the residents of the state in this challenging period.

“On behalf of the entire people of the state, I pray to Allah SWT, seeking solace for the departed souls, and beg the Almighty to grant them Jannatul Firdaus.

“The state government remains committed to ensuring the safety of its citizens and will work diligently to prevent such tragic incidents in the future,” Radda assured.

The governor additionally encouraged the residents of the state to unite and provide mutual support in the face of these challenging circumstances.

Likewise, Radda extended his condolences to Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, for the loss of his Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy, Malam Isa Gusau.
