Katsina Police commissioner decorates 48 promoted officers

The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Musa, has decorated senior officers within the division who have recently received promotions to different ranks.

Addressing the gathering at the Officer’s Mess on Thursday, he called upon the officers and personnel of the command to recommit themselves to safeguarding the lives and property of Katsina residents.

He emphasized that the promotions granted by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, are intended to motivate them to increase their dedication through hard work and honesty.

Extending his best wishes to them, Musa encouraged them to carry out their duties with a sense of responsibility before the Almighty God and to provide for their families and the citizens of the State.

He also expressed gratitude for their commendable efforts in ensuring the safety of the state’s residents.

“The Inspector General of Police giving you this promotion, is for you to redouble your efforts, hard-working and sincerity. Do your job with fear of Almighty God to take care of your family and the good people of Katsina,” he said.

“I thank you for the work they have been doing in terms of the protection of the citizens of Katsina State. I wish you the best of luck.”

Bintima Dan-Azumi Gaisa, one of the newly promoted officers, expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police for endorsing their promotions at this juncture. She pledged to give their utmost in their day-to-day duties.

“We thank the IGP for approving our promotion at this point. Promotion is from God and it has added responsibility unto us. We promised to do our best in our daily activities of the command,” Gaisa said.

The 48 recently promoted officers come from diverse departments within the command, with 40 of them receiving promotions and accolades as they advanced from the rank of ASP to DSP. Additionally, five officers were elevated from the rank of SP to CSP, and three moved from DSP to SP.
