Katsina Police commissioner presents ₦27m cheque to deceased officers families

Katsina State Police Commissioner, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, has presented cheques totaling approximately ₦27.5 million to the families of police officers who lost their lives in active service.

In total, 36 families benefited from this support.

In a statement released on Friday, the State Police Command Spokesman, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, noted that the support provided to the families and next of kin of the fallen police officers is part of the Group Life Insurance, Group Personal Accident, and Inspector General of Police Family Welfare Insurance Schemes.

The Police Commissioner, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, expressed his gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for his generosity towards the families of the deceased officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the nation.

 

 

He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to fulfill the purpose of the scheme, which is to provide support to the families left behind by the officers.

 

 

He further prayed for the repose of the departed souls.

One of the beneficiaries, Najib Ibrahim who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the Inspector General of Police for the gesture, promising to make good use of the money for the betterment of their lives.

 

 

He also prayed for God’s guidance over the leadership of the command and the Force in general.
