Borno State High Court Judge, Hon. Justice Haruna Mshelia has been released by his abductors.
However, his wife, Magistrate Binta Mshelia, along with his driver and police orderly, remain in captivity.
This information was confirmed by a reliable source in Maiduguri.
“Alhamdulillah(We give thanks to God), we have just received the news of the release (from BH captivity), of Justice Haruna Mshelia.
“May Allah Almighty protect us all from any form of mishap.” The source said.
Justice Haruna Mshelia, along with his wife, driver, and police security guard, was abducted by armed men on Monday, June 24.
According to sources familiar with the incident, Justice Mshelia and his wife, a senior judicial officer, were traveling from Biu to Maiduguri when their convoy was ambushed by a heavily armed group between the Borno and Yobe state border.
