King Charles III leads procession of Queen’s coffin

On Monday, King Charles III led a procession through the Scottish capital Edinburgh behind the coffin of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on its way to St Giles’ Cathedral.

Charles followed the coffin up the Royal Mile from the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where it had rested overnight, alongside the queen’s three other children.

It came amid the sound of guns fired at one-minute intervals from Edinburgh Castle.

The songs of hymns are being held as the tributes continue.
