The Deeper Life Bible Church’s founder, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, is the subject of a biography that, according to the International Friendship League, will convert a lot of people to Christianity.

This was said by the group at the Delta State capital of Asaba’s “Kumuyi: Defender of the Faith” book launch.

The book, according to IFL Chairman Dr. Anselm Egwunatum, is a biography of Kumuyi from his birth to the present.

He said, “Books written about godly characters have inspired many readers and have drawn them to Christ through God’s saving grace”

Speaking at the book launch, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, the general overseer of the Deeper Life Church, was represented by Pastor Godwin Osagbohien, the state overseer of Delta North. Kumuyi was regarded as a wise man who positively influences people’s lives in a godly manner.

“I have been with Kumuyi for the past 40 years, God has used him mighty from the beginning till date. So, by reading this book, people can know more about him and draw close to God”

Additionally, the state overseer for Delta South, Pastor Pius Idume, observed that the book had been released not only in Lagos, but also in other states.

He said that Kumuyi was a national icon and that the book was originally released at the corporate headquarters in Lagos before being released throughout all of Nigeria. The entire novel is about Kumuyi, starting at birth.

Prof. Ope-Davis Babatunde, a member of the book’s editorial board, stated that one of their initial difficulties in preparing the book was that Kumuyi never agreed for them to write about his history because of his simplicity.

He urged Nigerians to adopt the reading habit, either in physical copy or electronically, noting that books were a method of reviving the reading culture.
