On Tuesday morning, the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is congested.
As a trailer was seen to have crashed along Kara Bridge and a road repair is being done along OPIC of the other lane of the expressway, traffic is backed up in both lanes.
According to our correspondent’s observations, the traffic was visible from Berger up to the OPIC area while travelling to Ibadan, whereas on the other lane, the traffic was visible while travelling to Berger from OPIC.
As a result of the large number of vehicles using the unpaved road off the expressway, commuters experienced a standstill.
It was gathered that the trailer had crashed since last Monday night, damaging a part of the concrete bridge railing.
Cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained but a team of the Federal Road Safety Corps was seen at the scene.
However, a passenger suggested it could have been caused by break failure.
