Lagos LG Poll: Late arrival of electoral officials delays voting in Ifako-Ijaiye

The late arrival of electoral officials has caused a delay in the commencement of voting in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area, Lagos State, during the ongoing chairmanship and councillorship elections.

Residents showed up early in large numbers, arriving at various polling units as early as 8 a.m. to cast their votes.

However, many voters were seen waiting patiently as accreditation and voting were yet to begin due to the absence of electoral officers.

At the polling unit where the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate, Usman Hamzat, is expected to vote, voters remained on standby, expressing concerns over the delay in the electoral process.
