Lagos LG Poll: Voting commence at Gbajabiamila’s polling unit in Surulere

Voting for the local government chairmanship, vice-chairmanship, and councillorship elections commenced at Polling Unit 014 on Elizabeth Fowler Street in Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos.

The process began at exactly 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, following the accreditation of voters.

Although the polling unit has 669 registered voters, fewer than 12 were present in the queue at the start of voting. The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, is expected to vote at this unit.

Party representatives and election observers were also on site.

Before the casting of votes began, LASIEC officials were seen briefing voters as they waited in line.
