Sylvester Oromoni (Senior), the father of the late 12-year-old Dowen College student Sylvester Oromoni (Junior), has expressed disagreement with the verdict of the Coroner regarding the circumstances surrounding his son’s death.

During a lengthy judgment session that spanned over six hours on Monday, Coroner Magistrate Mikhail Kadiri concluded that the deceased passed away from natural causes.

However, he also noted that the boy’s death, which occurred on November 30, 2021, could have been prevented, as parental and medical negligence contributed to the tragic outcome.

Kadiri highlighted that evidence revealed the late Sylvester endured unnecessary suffering due to negligence, ultimately leading to his untimely demise.

However, Sylvester Oromoni (Senior), speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily program on Tuesday, contested the ruling, labeling it as the coroner’s viewpoint rather than a satisfactory judgment.
