A lot of children were discovered in an apartment beneath a church in Ondo Town, Ondo State.
The children are believed to have been kidnapped and held on the premises of the church which is in the Valentino area of Ondo Town.
Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, confirmed the development.
The children, according to her, have been relocated to the police headquarters, and investigations are ongoing.
The pastor of the church and several members of the congregation have been arrested, and more information from the police is expected.
Police at the Criminal Investigation Department are currently questioning those arrested.
The total number of children involved is unknown, but it is believed that they may be as many as 50.
