Minister of Works, Umahi, inaugurates FERMA board

The Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, has voiced apprehension over the deteriorating condition of roads across the country, emphasizing the urgent requirement for enhanced road infrastructure.

These statements were made during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed members of the Governing Board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in Abuja on Thursday.

Umahi highlighted that the decline in road conditions has negative consequences for various economic activities.

He urged the recently inaugurated FERMA members to address the challenges associated with road infrastructure maintenance and exhibit steadfast dedication to the road maintenance initiatives outlined in President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
