Mojisola Meranda, the newly appointed Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has officially assumed her role at the Assembly Complex.
She was accompanied by fellow assembly members, and a prayer session was held for a smooth leadership tenure and effective collaboration among the House members.

Meanwhile, former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who was removed on January 13, 2025, due to allegations of misconduct and financial mismanagement, reaffirmed on Saturday that he remains Speaker until due process is followed.
