A man named Alhaji Mashood from the Olorunsogo area of Bode Saadu in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State has been brought before the Upper Area Court in the town by his daughter, accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with her.
The complainant, Simbiat Moshood, directly accused the defendant of engaging in sexual intercourse with her and threatening to imprison or harm her if she disclosed the matter to anyone.
“The act has become my father’s habit, I am his only daughter and that is why my mother has refused to return home after they divorced,” the complaint said.
“My father’s second wife had once caught us in the act and do make jest of me and alleging ritualistic activity,” the sheet added.
The defense counsel, Barrister Toyin Onaolapo, requested the court to grant bail to his client.
In his ruling, Magistrate Abdul Yekeen granted bail to the accused and scheduled the case for further hearing on April 15, 2024.
