Senator Abdul Ningi, who represents Bauchi Central in the National Assembly, has stated that the N3 trillion budget for 2024 does not include any projects.
In a chat with Senate correspondents on Monday, Ningi said the sum of N3 trillion has been located in the budget but what the money was tied to has not been established.
The Senator denied that the country operates on two budgets, but stated that the N3 trillion projected for in 2024 was unknown.
“At no time did I say Bola Ahmed Tinubu is implementing two budgets. I never said Bola Tinubu was biassed against the North; the Hausa version is there. I never said Bola Tinubu was going to implement a 25 trillion budget.
“I said we have established without reasonable doubt about 25 trillion so far as nexus in the budget. That means there’s money, a project, and a location. Money, project, and location are all important considerations, but three trillion dollars of that budget remain unknown.
“We have set aside three trillion in the budget, but we have not specified where it would be located. I don’t want any foolish Senator to come here; if it’s a cross I have to bear, I’ll bear it,” Senator Ningi stated.
He also stated that he is prepared to shoulder his cross, even if it means being suspended from the Red Chamber.
“I am not afraid of anything, I believe in one God and I believe power is transient; I am not scared of any issues like suspension. “I had been out of the Senate for eight years, and people had to force me back,” he stated.
