The Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, has dismissed charges against Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, in connection to the death of Aloba Oladimeji IleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, acting on the legal advice provided by the Lagos Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), ruled that Naira Marley had no case to answer.

Others acquitted include music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.

However, the DPP stated that Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of Mohbad’s friends, will face prosecution for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251(e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

The case against them will proceed at the Magistrate Court.
