NANS elections to hold on Saturday despite ASUU strike
On Saturday, August 27, 2022, The National Association of Nigerian Students will hold elections for a number of leadership position.
This information was provided on Wednesday in Abuja by the coordinator of South-West Zone D, Adegboye Emmanuel.
“The elections will hold on Saturday”, Olatunji said.
According to reports, Sunday Ashefon, the soon-to-be outgone president, was chosen on December 4, 2020, at the old parade ground in Abuja, during the national convention.
Olushola Oladoja, an employee of the Ekiti State Government, finished second with 100 votes, while Asefon received 155 votes.
Bamidele Akpan was replaced by the 45-year-old, who is reportedly a student at Ekiti State University.
According to reports, elections were not held, despite the fact that the duration of elective seats in the organisation was intended to run for one year.
The national organization for Nigerian students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and abroad is called NANS.
