The National Youth Service Corps has received a proposal from the Nigerian Defence Academy to train the program’s staff in emotional intelligence.

When the motion was presented at the National Directorate Headquarters of the NYSC in Maitama, Abuja, Dr. Ben Audu, the head of the NDA’s Centre for Study of Leadership and Complex Military Operations, said that the training was required due to the evolving difficulties in managing human resources in the workplace.

He pushed the programme to accept the training and added that the result would be increased workplace efficiency.

Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the director general of the NYSC, responded favourably to the plan.

He claimed that employee training was a surefire approach to increase their ability to perform their jobs effectively.

Hence, he gave the team from the NDA and the scheme’s Department of Planning, Research, and Statistics the order to develop the details for the start of the training.
