NDLEA destroys illicit drugs worth N2bn in Akwa Ibom
The Akwa Ibom State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has destroyed 2.768 tonnes of illicit drugs worth over N2 billion in the state.
The State Government praised the anti-narcotics agency and pledged to support its efforts to achieve a zero case profile in drug-related offences in the state and throughout Nigeria.
This was stated in a statement issued on Thursday by the press secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ekikere Umoh, following a courtesy visit to the deputy governor, Moses Ekpo, at Government House in Uyo by the agency’s chairman, Brig. General Mohammed Marwa (retd).
