NDLEA marks Kyari’s houses, shopping plaza in Maiduguri for investigation

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced Monday that it is investigating six residential properties and one plaza in Maiduguri belonging to embattled former Intelligence Response Team leader Abba Kyari.

Assurance Plaza is a two-story shopping mall located along Maiduguri’s Giwa Barracks Road. It houses approximately 100 stores.

Six additional residential houses within the Maiduguri New Government Residential Area were also marked by the NDLEA as allegedly belonging to the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police.

This comes barely 48 hours after a suspected drug dealer was arrested in Lagos by NDLEA operatives in connection with the N3 billion worth of tramadol intercepted by the then-Kyari-led IRT team.
