The National Examinations Council (NECO) has transitioned to a digital system for hiring examination supervisors and assistant supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
The Council aims to curb malpractices in the recruitment process and boost efficiency and effectiveness through digitalization, according to a statement from NECO’s Acting Director of Information and Digital Communication, Azeez Sani. The new digital process replaces the manual recruitment of supervisors and assistant supervisors with an online system, allowing for the online generation of supervisors’ nomination forms, appointment letters, and e-photo albums of supervisors.
Additionally, the routine swapping of supervisors and assistant supervisors during examinations will now be conducted online.
Qualified teachers holding NCE, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or PhD are invited to apply for roles as Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for the BECE or SSCE (Internal or External).
Previously, the recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors was handled manually by the Council.
