A newly-wed was among those rescued following a collision between a commercial bus and a truck in Lagos.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported that the accident occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge. According to Adebayo Taofiq, Director of Public Affairs at LASTMA, the crash included a micro truck (AGL 22 YE) and a commercial LT bus (BFG 204 XF), which was caused by a braking failure in the fast bus. Sixteen bus passengers, including 11 women and 5 men, were injured and taken to the Lagos State Trauma Centre. Two individuals trapped in the wreckage were eventually extricated and transported to Gbagada General Hospital. LASTMA urged drivers to adhere to speed limits and maintain vehicle braking systems.Toyibat is a dedicated and results-driven professional with a strong background in media, education, and communication.
