Niger coup: Tinubu meets ECOWAS stakeholders over intervention
President Bola Tinubu is holding talks with key players in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) mediation efforts in Niger Republic, as part of efforts to resolve the country’s political crisis.
Tinubu, the chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), is holding an ongoing meeting at the State House in Abuja with ECOWAS Commission President Dr. Omar Touray, former Nigerian Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar rtd, who is leading the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta, and National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
