With the preliminary results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Sokoto, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives congress, has taken the lead.
Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, have each won five local governments out of the 23 local governments in Sokoto State.
According to the preliminary INEC results for the state, Tinubu is in the lead with 101,608 votes, followed by Atiku with 98,080, Kwankwaso with 324, and the Obi with only 171 votes across the 10 local governments.
Shagari, Yabo, Gudu, Tangaza, Rabbah, Binji, Wurno, Tureta, Bodinga, and Kware local governments have had their results announced thus far. The results for the remaining 13 local governments are anticipated to be made public when the collation center reopens later today.
