Nigerian Governors meet in Abuja over stamp duty, others

Members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) are convening for a physical meeting at the Forum’s secretariat in Abuja.

The meeting, scheduled for 8:00 am, is yet to commence in full, as only a handful of governors have arrived at the venue.

Among those present are Governors Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara).

Others include Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), and Usman Ododo (Kogi).

A copy of the agenda distributed to journalists reveals that the governors will discuss various issues, including Stamp Duty, Royalties Accounts Reconciliation, and updates on the Africa Investment Forum (AIF).

The Forum is also expected to receive a presentation from the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, on the ongoing constitutional amendment efforts by the National Assembly.
