The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is set to launch a digital platform for the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) application process, effective August 1.
This was announced in a statement by the Service Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) Akinsola Akinlabi, on Wednesday in Abuja.
According to Akinlabi, the move aligns with the Federal Government’s ongoing reforms aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and service accessibility within the NIS.
The newly introduced portal—accessible at https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng—will allow applicants to submit their CERPAC applications entirely online, eliminating the need for physical forms.
Starting August 1, the use of physical CERPAC forms will no longer be accepted.
“All CERPAC applications after July 31 must be submitted solely through the online portal,” Akinlabi stated.
He explained that the shift to digital processing is intended to enhance the user experience and streamline the application process for both individuals and companies responsible for expatriates.
Applicants who have already made payments but have not yet submitted their forms are urged to do so before the July 31 deadline to maintain their application status and avoid losing associated payments.
“Similarly, individuals and companies with pending submissions are strongly encouraged to complete all processes within the stipulated timeline to avoid any delays,” he added.
