The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited on Thursday inaugurated five Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) mini-plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State.
The five LNG mini-plants are PRIME LNG, NGML/Gasnexus LNG, BUA LNG, Highland LNG, and LNG Arete.

These plants will source their feedstock—natural gas—from existing pipelines that extend to the Ajaokuta location.
The primary supply pipeline for these mini-plants is the AKK pipeline, the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline currently under construction by the Federal Government.
These plants will provide gas to regions of the country that currently lack gas infrastructure.
