Crude oil theft in Nigeria.
Nigeria is facing substantial issues from crude oil theft in the Niger Delta, resulting in lower state revenues, environmental damage, and a drop in onshore investments by International Oil Companies (IOCs). This issue has reduced daily oil production from 2 million to almost 1.5 million barrels.

During a tour to oil-producing towns in the Niger Delta, the President’s National Security Adviser (NSA) disclosed that theft costs Nigeria over 400,000 barrels of crude oil every day.
