Obasanjo, Osinbajo, South West Govs, others attend Ayo Adebanjo’s burial in Ogun

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo were among dignitaries who attended the funeral service of late Ayodele Adebanjo, former factional leader of Afenifere, the pan-Yoruba socio-political group.

Governors Dapo Abi Osun (Ogun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo) and other political heavyweights including former governor’s were also in attendance. Other South West Governors were represented by their deputies.

Adebanjo died on the morning of Friday, February 14, at his residence in Lekki, Lagos state.

The funeral ceremony was held on Saturday at St. Phillips Anglican Church, Isanya Ogbo, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state.

The funeral brought together family, friends, and political figures to celebrate his enduring legacy of advocating of democracy, true federalism, and national unity.
