Athletes from Ogun State blocked the main gate to Babcock University, the location of the camp for all athletes competing in the 2024 Gateway Games, in the early hours of Wednesday due to unpaid allowance for the ongoing games.

Many states were left stuck after the athletes stopped the camp’s main gate at five in the morning, according to the Nation.

It was discovered that athletes from other states who feel mistreated are covertly endorsing their Ogun counterparts’ protest.

The Nation gathered as of the time of filing this report the protest was still ongoing.
