Traditional Rulers in Ogun State have pledged robust support for the forthcoming maiden edition of the Public Relations Week scheduled to hold between April 22nd and 26th in Abeokuta.
The monarchs gave the endorsement through the Chairman of the Ogun State Traditional Council and Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi who made the pledge whilst receiving members of the NIPR National Planning Week Committee headed by the Bobakede of Oke Ona Egba, Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya who visited him in his palace in Sagamu.
He thanked NIPR for picking Ogun State as host ahead of others for the maiden PR week.
He pledged to mobilise traditional rulers in Ogun State to attend the session specially designed for them to share experiences and update their public relations skills especially in the areas of investment drive, mediation and sustainability.
Oba Ajayi expressed pride that the Committee was peopled with seasoned professionals adding that “…I am really itching to attend the event personally…”
Speaking earlier, Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya intimated the monarch on activities lined up for the week and sought his blessings for the week long programme.
Also speaking, the Towulade of Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, also a Fellow of NIPR harped on the importance of mediation as against litigation.
Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya was accompanied on the visit by the Ogun State NIPR Chairman, Mrs Seun Boye, CEO of PR Primus, Mr. Akin Okudero,fnipr; Mrs Victoria Nwadoka of marketing committee, Deacon Dara Adebimpe and Ogun NIPR Secretary, Mr. Kunle Olayeni.
