Ogun State appoints Mrs Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, succeeding the late Dr Adesina Olanloye.

The appointment was confirmed on Friday by the State Head of Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya, who stated that the process adhered to the state’s procurement law. Onasanya highlighted that Bolarinwa-Adebowale was selected through a competitive, merit-based process that included the screening and interview of qualified candidates from the state civil service.

“The new DG also met the prescribed competencies, skills, and knowledge required for the position of Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement,” the statement read.

A lawyer by profession, Bolarinwa-Adebowale joined the Ogun State Civil Service in 2005 as a State Counsel. She previously served as Deputy Director of Civil Litigation in the Ministry of Justice before being seconded to the Bureau of Public Procurement as a legal officer.

The Head of Service described her appointment as part of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s government’s commitment to strengthening due process and accountability in public contracting, ensuring procurement policies are implemented according to international best practices and within the framework of government procedures.

He urged the new DG to perform her duties in line with the existing laws governing the bureau.
