Ovie Omo-Agege, the All Progressives Congress’ nominee for governor of Delta State, was defeated on Monday by Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Omo-Agege received 240,229 votes total in the governorship election that was held on Saturday, which was 120,005 votes less than his PDP opponent. 360,234 people voted for Oborevwori.
Omo-Agege won in just four of the state’s 25 local governments, despite being the vice president of the Senate and the senator for the Delta State Central Senatorial District.
