Ondo church members freed after N50m ransom payment

Less than a week after being kidnapped, members of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Igan, Akure, Ondo State were released on Thursday evening.

Reportedly, the victims were freed upon the payment of a N50 million ransom by their families.

The abduction took place last Friday in the Elegbeka area of Ose Local Government in the state, while they were en route to Ifon along the Benin-Akure Expressway.

According to reports,  a source from the family revealed that they were released in the same Elegbeka area where the kidnapping occurred the previous week.
