Ondo Gov confirms 32 officers as permanent secretaries

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.

The announcement was made on Monday in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

Among those confirmed are Mrs. Tayo Ogundare, Mrs. Morayo M. Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs. Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, and Tope Lebile, mni.

Other confirmed officers include Stephen R. Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs. Oluwakemi Akinyemi, Bamidele Daisi, and Engr. Akinluyi Omotola.

The list further features Olumide Kinga, Mrs. Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs. Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs. Funke Adelayi, Dr. Akindele Ige, and Olanrewaju Akarakiri.

Additionally, Dr. Mrs. Abike Ilawole, Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo, Kolawole B. Kayode, Dr. Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Niyi Akinbola, Engr. Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv. Idowu A. Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs. Toyin O. Awotoye, and Ayodeji Ayeku were confirmed.

The governor also approved key statutory appointments, including Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General and Dr. Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Governments, pending House of Assembly clearance.

“All confirmations and appointments are effective from February 1, 2026,” the statement read, adding that the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed officers will be scheduled and announced later.
