The Vice Chairman of Akure North Local Government Area in Ondo State, Anthony Adebusola, sadly passed away just four days following the demise of Chairman Bankole Ogbesetore.

Bankole Ogbesetore passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, and was immediately succeeded by his vice, Adebusola, who assumed the role of acting Chairman.

However, tragically, Adebusola also passed away four days later on Saturday, July 15.

Saka Ogunleye, a former commissioner for Sports and Youth Development in the state, confirmed Adebusola’s death and described it as resembling a distressing movie.

“It is on a sad note, painful and pathetic, that I’m here again to announce the tragic death of our council vice chairman Hon Anthony Adebusola,” Ogunleye said.

“This unfortunate death occurred yesterday after a brief illness. Painful that we lost both our elected council chairman and his amiable, loyal vice chairman within one week.

“Like a bad movie, so sad a story. Ko ye mi oo. I urge you all to pray for us and the family members the two of them left behind.”

The state’s acting governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, had paid a condolence visit to the residence of the late chairman last week.
