Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has praised INEC and security agencies for facilitating the early delivery of voting materials to polling units.
Upon arriving at PU 005, Ward 10, Obenla, in Ilaje LGA, Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the election, completed his accreditation and cast his vote at 8:45 a.m.
Speaking to journalists, he noted that reports so far indicated the timely arrival of voting materials. However, he expressed uncertainty about whether this was consistent across the entire state.
“It is my hope that the report I got is the same across all polling units in the state,” he said.
He also called on residents to remain calm and peaceful, expressing confidence that the election would conclude successfully.
Mr. Aiyedatiwa is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with his primary opponent being Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
