The Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised concerns over the alleged distribution of two result sheets, instead of one, to polling units during the ongoing local government elections.
The party also questioned the credibility of the election, citing the late distribution of materials as a major issue.
Reports indicated that, as of 7:32 am—just minutes before the scheduled 8 am start time—election officials were still collecting materials from the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission office in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Speaking to journalists, Waliu Oladipupo, the PDP’s state agent, expressed concern over these developments, warning that such irregularities could compromise the integrity of the electoral process.
He further highlighted that these logistical shortcomings could potentially disenfranchise a significant number of voters.
