The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced that train services along the Warri–Itakpe route will soon recommence.
The corporation explained that the suspension of operations was necessary to allow for urgent and critical track repairs designed to enhance passenger safety, reliability, and comfort.
In a statement, NRC’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Callistus Unyimadu, disclosed that repair works on the affected sections have reached an advanced stage, assuring the public that full operations will resume shortly.
He said NRC deeply appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of passengers during this period of service interruption.
“We remain committed to providing safe, efficient, and reliable rail transport services across the country. A subsequent announcement will be communicated on the official date for the resumption of full operations,” he said.
