Osun: Adeleke, Adewusi, take oath of office

The oath of office and allegiance has been taken by Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, and Kola Adewusi, his Deputy.

Adepele Ojo, the chief judge of Osun State, administered the oaths in front of a large crowd.

Around 11:20am, a large caravan of vehicles arrived at the location, and by 11:50am, Adeleke had finished taking his oath.

A number of dignitaries, including the governors of Edo and Akwa Ibom states as well as the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party and his vice presidential running partner, Ifeanyi Okowa, were in attendance at the event at the main bowl of Osogbo City Stadium.

Also present were, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Also at the venue were: Wife of the PDP presidential candidate, Titi Atiku, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, and former Oyo governor, Chief Rashidi Ladoja, among others.
