Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has said that his government is ready to create a safe and supportive environment for investors to thrive in the state.
Adeleke provided this assurance during a meeting with the Canadian High Commissioner, James Christoff, held on Monday in Lagos.
During the meeting, the governor unveiled his proposal to construct a cargo airport within the state. He also highlighted that the establishment of a sub-power station in the state could significantly enhance a manufacturing hub with the appropriate investments.
According to a statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the purpose of Adeleke’s visit to the Canadian High Commission was to reinforce agreements reached during the High Commissioner’s prior visit to Osun and to discuss forthcoming plans for a trip to Canada to engage with Canadian sectoral investors.
“I assured the High Commissioner of our dedication to providing investors with a secure and supportive atmosphere for their ventures to flourish.”
During the meeting, the High Commissioner restated the Canadian government’s prior commitment to strengthening economic collaborations with sub-national entities throughout Nigeria and Africa.
