Iyiola Omisore, national secretary of the All Progressives Congress, has refuted allegations that voter incentivization occurred at some voting places during the current Osun State governorship election.

After casting his ballot at Ife Ward 1 in Ile Ife, Ife East Local Government Area, of the state on Saturday, Moore 003 made the clarification.

Around 1.30 pm, Omisore arrived at the voting place to shouts from party members and supporters who had waited behind after casting their ballots to see the APC leader do his civic duty.

Asked about alleged vote-buying and voter intimidation in the election in the area, Omisore said, “I am not aware and I did not see anybody engaged in such. I can see how free people are now.

“I cannot see any sign of what you have said,” he added.

The voting process in the unit and in Ile Ife was praised by the APC national scribe, who cast a ballot at around 1.36 p.m. He described the process as orderly and successful.

He said that there was “massive turnout as well as peaceful” during the election.

Omisore applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission’s use of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, adding, “I think it works well without any hitch.”

“I was able to go through the process and cast my vote under one minute,” the APC national scribe said.
