Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has declared that he will never support the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Grammy-nominated singer, who is the nephew of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, expressed his frustration in a series of posts on X as tension mounted during the collation of results from Saturday’s governorship election.

“I CAN NEVER SUPPORT APC IN MY LIFE !!!” Davido wrote.

In another post, the singer appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene and caution members and supporters of the ruling party.

“Call your pple to order !! @officialABAT,” he wrote.

Davido had earlier alerted the Department of State Services (DSS) and Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, over a viral video containing alleged threats against him and Governor Adeleke.

The development followed comments by a man identified as Aghahowa Collins, who warned that Davido and Adeleke would “learn the hard way” over their involvement in the governorship election.

Collins urged residents of Osun to vote for the APC while accusing the Adeleke administration of mismanaging state resources.

He also alleged that Davido had been benefiting personally from resources belonging to Osun State.

Collins further predicted that Adeleke would lose the election and promised to distribute N1 million among five people if the governor was removed from office.

Meanwhile, Adeleke had also appealed to President Tinubu to prevent what he described as attempts by “desperate and rejected politicians” to disrupt or take control of collation centres across the state.

The governor urged Tinubu to issue clear directives to the heads of security agencies deployed to Osun to safeguard the electoral process.
