The Nigerian socialite known for his dramatic and unconventional entrances,  Pretty Mike, has once again sparked attention after appearing at an event with men and women dressed as lawyers.

The nightclub owner made a striking entrance at the 50th birthday celebration of his friend, Helen Ezisi, where he arrived in the company of individuals dressed in full legal attire.

A video shared on his Instagram page shows the entourage arranged in two lines, forming a passageway as he walked through the centre in a theatrical manner.

The display was followed by a wave of mixed reactions online, with many social media users criticising the act as disrespectful to the legal profession.

In his Instagram caption, Pretty Mike said the entrance was intended as a tribute to the legal profession.

He described lawyers as the backbone of order, justice, and structure in society, commending their discipline, intellect and integrity.

He also acknowledged the demands of the profession while celebrating those who uphold justice.

“To the legal profession, the backbone of order, justice, and structure in society. I have deep respect for lawyers who show up every day with discipline, intellect, and integrity to uphold the law and protect what is right,” he wrote.

“It is not an easy path, but it is a necessary one. Here’s to the men and women who carry the weight of justice and still stand tall doing it. An inspiring scene. Happy 50th Birthday Helen Ezisi.”

However, the video triggered widespread backlash on social media, with critics describing the stunt as inappropriate and disrespectful to the legal profession.

Some users questioned whether any action should be taken against him, while others simply condemned the display as a “show of shame”.

Pretty Mike is no stranger to controversy, having previously drawn attention for similar dramatic appearances at public events.

In 2022, he attended the birthday party of Adebola Dosunmu with an entourage dressed in occultic-themed outfits, alongside a man appearing lifeless and semi-nude.

In December 2021, he made an appearance at the birthday celebration of actress Eniola Badmus with semi-nude performers.

He also appeared at an event hosted by Ubi Franklin’s baby mama in August of the same year, accompanied by a native doctor.
