Oyebamiji meets Tinubu, pledges unity in Osun APC
Bola Tinubu has restated his backing for the governorship hopeful of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, as the August 15, 2026, off-cycle election approaches.
Oyebamiji, widely referred to as AMBO, revealed this following a meeting with the President in Abuja, characterizing the discussion as productive and motivating as momentum builds toward the pivotal election.
The APC candidate attended the meeting alongside the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.
In a statement posted on his official X handle on Tuesday, Oyebamiji conveyed gratitude for President Tinubu’s sustained leadership and dedication to progressive governance.
He said the meeting reinforced his resolve to pursue party unity and deliver sustainable development if elected.
“As we prepare for the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, I am strengthened by Mr President’s enduring belief in my capacity and in the principles of responsible leadership and development,” Oyebamiji stated.
He added that the President’s vision for national economic renewal serves as a guiding framework for his agenda in Osun, noting that his campaign would focus on people-centred policies and long-term economic stability.
Oyebamiji also pledged to consolidate unity within the APC in the state, deepen grassroots engagement, and present a clear, actionable blueprint to reposition Osun for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
He assured party members and residents that his aspiration is anchored on inclusive governance and service, expressing confidence that collective efforts would deliver the Osun “of our shared aspirations.”
